祭り。政りごと。間を釣り合わせること。 日本の夏は、ただパワフルで明るくて熱いだけじゃない。 陰と陽がはっきりと浮き出る季節。 このコントラストを調和させる儀式が 「まつり」 大きな花火、太鼓の音、振動、提灯、浴衣、 金魚、獅子舞、狐面、菊。 音、流れ、非日常。ハレの日。 まつりとは、感謝や祈りの儀式であり、 政治の成り立ちであり、 神や仏などと呼ばれる見えない存在や自然と繋がる シャーマン的行為、つまり「対話」の意もあり。 祈りとは 意（い）を宣（の）ること。 意志を宣言すること。 私はこう言うふうに 生きていきますと、伝えること。 日本の夏は、風情があって美しくて、 怖い。

The rituals that harmonize these contrasts are called "matsuri."
Large fireworks, the sound of drums, vibrations, paper lanterns, yukata,
goldfish, lion dances, fox masks, chrysanthemums.
Sound, flow, the extraordinary. A special day.
Festivals are ceremonies of gratitude and prayer,
the foundation of politics,
and a shamanic act of connecting with invisible beings such as gods and Buddhas, as well as nature.
Prayer is
a declaration of intent.
A declaration of will.
A statement that "this is how I intend to live."
