私は川崎市の中学校で美術を教えながら、自身の絵画制作を続けております。今は亡き恩師が常々言っていた「活火山であれ」という言葉が、今でも脳裏に焼き付いております。人は誰しも、マグマの如き内面を内に秘めていて、どのような形で噴出させるのかはその人次第…マグマそのものには善も悪も無いのです。
コロナの閉塞感の中で、己の内なる「マグマ」を意識せざるを得ない時間が多く出来ました。世間に流布している常識だけでは捉え切れない、滾（たぎ）る思い、生きている！と叫びたい心情…放課後、生徒が帰った後の美術室に一人残り、絵の具を叩き付けるようにして夢中で描いたのが本作です。ご覧になる方に、何らかのパワーを感じ取って頂ければ、この上なく幸いに存じます。
 
While teaching art at a junior high school in Kawasaki, I continue to make my own paintings. My teacher who already passed away always says the word "be an active volcano" is still in my mind. Everyone has a magma-like inside and it's up to the person to decide what form to spout out, which is hidden inside ... Magma itself has neither good nor evil.
In the feeling of corona blockage, I had a lot of time to be aware of my inner "magma". Disseminate to the world.
I'm alive with a feeling of suffocation that can't be grasped only by common sense! The feelings I want to scream ... After school, the students went home, I left alone in the art room and drew crazy about it by hitting the paint. That is this artwork. I would be very happy if you could feel the power of it.
