北鎌倉では10年間「吊るし飾りのある街」企画で2月3月の閑散期に町を盛り上げる催しが行われてきましたが、実行委員の高齢化で、残念ながら途絶えてしまった経歴があります。その流れで、今でも吊るし飾りを下げる店舗も多く、此処北鎌倉古民家美術館では江戸時代や室町時代のお雛様の展示と共に吊るし飾りも飾られています。雪の降るこの時期には格別カラフルな色合いが引き立つように感じました。
 
For 10 years in Kita-Kamakura, events have been held to liven up the town during the off-season in February and March under the ``City of Hanging Decorations'' project, but unfortunately the event has come to an end due to the aging of the executive committee. . Following this trend, many stores still hang hanging decorations, and at the Kita-Kamakura Old Folk House Museum, hanging decorations are displayed along with exhibits of dolls from the Edo and Muromachi periods.
