グランドキャニオンで見た初日の出の想い出を基に、現在制作中の50号の作品のカラーテストとして描いた作品です。マイナス15度の極寒の中、登って来た朝日に皆で拍手喝采。その後も色を次々と変えて照らし出されたグランドキャニオンの景色は、一生忘れる事の出来ない時間となりました。照らし出されるオレンジや赤の岩肌が強烈に心に残って今作品になろうとしています。
Based on the memories of the new years day's sunrise of the year at the Grand Canyon, this work was drawn as a color test for the larger work that I am currently working on. Everyone clapped and cheered at the rising sun in the extreme cold of minus 15℃. After that, the scenery of the Grand Canyon, which was illuminated with changing colors one after another, was an unforgettable time for the rest of my life. The illuminated orange and red rock surface left a strong impression on me, and I am now trying to make it into a work.
